LivingWorks ASIST
ASIST ( Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) is a workshop on suicide first aid and more, suitable for individuals, groups, families, workplaces, and communities.
The workshop teaches participants to identify signs that someone may be considering suicide and empowers them to work with the person to create a plan that prioritizes their immediate safety.
I learned that supporting someone with thoughts of suicide is to give them respect, patience, and care.
